Our Approach to Web Design

After sharing our short design brief questionnaire, we will begin reviewing the options that best suit your needs. Depending on the level of complexity of the project we’ll provide either a fixed quote or a high level estimate for the project. Typically though, and for most of our projects, you will receive a fixed quote.

Our initial quote will be as accurate as possible and will state the exact scope of the project, so you know what to expect. We’ll always be upfront about costs before starting work, and would only ever change the costs if the scope of work changed and you were happy with the proposal.

Next we’ll carry out the WordPress web design project as described in your project plan. We may require you to provide us some up front materials in order to begin the design / build element. This typically will be logos, branding material, images and textual content.

If we’re building your website using a premium WordPress theme we will do our research of the most suitable themes, collate a list for review and share them with you.

For bespoke web designs we will produce mockups of how the final site will look and feel. These will be shared with you for feedback and approval.

We’ll present the work on our test server for your review. Depending on the project size, this may be done at key milestones or at the end of the project. We’ll listen to your feedback and carry out any further WordPress web design and development until you’re completely happy.

We’ll work closely with you to plan the launch.

As well as the actual go-live, and if required, we’ll also provide formal or informal training sessions for your new website, theme or plugin to make sure you’re up to speed with everything.

Once your shiny new website has gone live, we’ll provide 30 days’ free support to ensure everything goes as you would expect. All successful websites evolve over time. We hope to work together to continue developing your website, ensuring it meets your needs over the longer-term.

For clients utilising a WordPress site developed by us we offer the option of monthly support subscriptions to ensure your WordPress installation and any addons are maintained, up to date and secure. We also offer support on an as required basis for anyone requiring a little hand holding.
